I bought a new iphone 13 from them in 2024 and have been paying 14.69 a month since then for the protection plan. the protection was described to me as "if the phone is damaged its on us." I now understand that it is not and it is actually on me because now I've paid close to $400 for the protection and they want me to pay what I could buy the same phone for right now to get a replacement?? I do not recommend using the protection plans your honestly better off without it.

Got a phone 2 years ago with their coverage plan and my phone had two defects from the factory so I wanted to get it replaced with a new one only a month after receiving the phone. They said over the phone that once I sent my phone in with the package they sent i would receive a new one in two weeks or less, I got MY phone back with a new screen on it because I had dead pixels in the screen and the headphone jack didn't work properly. When I got my phone back I thought it was new and that nothing would be wrong with it, but when I tried to use wired headphones i realized it was the one I had originally sent in because the jack didnt work, like yes it recognized there was something there but it would cut out and be very quiet. I had tired calling them numerous times to get the problem resolved and all I was told is I didn't have an account with them. Obviously I was upset but I worked with it but after it wasn't covered by the manufacturer my account was in their system again but I would have to pay for the repairs. I'm upset about the costermer service because not only did I call multiple times, but when I called to have it replaced I was speaking with a very rude man that hung up on me without saying he wouldn't be helping me anymore it was too time consuming to be dealing with a rude person and rude company when I was told a replacement phone would be sent out after they received the one I had originally. Yes I did check if the serial numbers matched out with the box the phone came in. This company I believe is not all bad but should be more helpful to their consumers that are paying for their services not to the one in Best Buy in Red Deer they were phenomenal but whoever's I spoke with on the phone was terrible.
