  Just the absolute worst company. I’ve been paying for protection on my computer for four years. They cancelled my subscription and never notified me and now when it’s time to replace my computer I can’t use my protection plan because they cancelled it. Price paid to have my computer safe and replaced if needed $1523.68 to this day. Do I get my money back, no, can I use any of it, absolutely not. They just use and abuse the person spending the money.

  Bought a laptop with 2 years full protection. Damaged the screen in that time but because it was covid I relied on my computer for remote work and school (they wouldn't give me a loaner). After the warranty plan expired, I kept getting charged over $20 a month. I was told there would be a decent discount for repairs. I went into a best buy to bring it in (still during covid) and there was over a 2 hour line up so I left. Kept getting charged the $20/month. I called today to see if there would be a discount on repairing a cracked screen and was told no so I canceled the plan. I have spent over $800 (beyond the 2 years of full warranty + Bets Buy protection) in additional coverage which was the biggest waste because there isn't even a dicsount on replacing the cracked screen. Never buying a laptop or GeekSquad through Best Buy again.

  The truth about the Geek Squad Warranty: I paid for an expensive Geek Squad protection plan for my cell phone. They do not mention to you when they sold it that there is a $100 fee for a new phone, and an $800 deposit for the new phone that only gets reversed once they receive the old phone. The new phone I got was not able to charge or turn on even consistently. I took it to Geek Squad a few times and they said I could only do it over the phone. After that, my health declined and I was never able to send back either phone before the time period elapsed. So now I'm out over $1000 after credit card interest and Geek Squad is not willing to do anything. Taking money for services not rendered is fraud and I wish I was healthy enough to expose this further with legal action. Best Buy and Geek Squad are complicit and from other reviews it appears their dishonest practices and service knows no bounds.
