- ADAllan DedrickDec 12, 20231.0Awful Service - No Way To Get A Hold Of Anyone! My lap top has been in for repairs for over 7 weeks now (on a Best Buy protection plan), and I have received absolutely no updates or any info. I was told I would get an update in 2 or 3 weeks. I have tried to call and online chat, but their phone and chat systems just send you around and around in circles... it's impossible to speak to anyone or get any information. What a joke and a waste of money - avoid Best Buy and Geek Squad
- MMMikeOct 8, 20223.0I don't know how good their service is because they didn't offer the one I wanted but navigating through their phone system is next to impossible. Way too many options, none of which are the reaon you are calling, and I just kept going around in circles. I eventually gave up after a couple of tries and just drove down there to ask them a question on an install. I had to wait 5 minutes at the counter before someone noticed me. The two reps were busy in the back. No lineup though, which was nice. I guess no one wants their computers fixed, or they are very efficient at what they do.
- RRRomeFeb 1, 20201.0I bought a laptop in BestBuy and had Geek Squad checked it for addtional memory card but I was advised that I need to contact the manufacturer for a certain part. So heres the problem when the laptop was returned to me, the extra micro SD I left was already stuck in its slot. When I returned it to have it fixed, they declined without me paying 1st because I have no paper trail. When I reasoned out that I dont have any bcoz their staff simply didnt issue anything, the manager on duty was firm that he'll do it only if i have a previous work order/receipt which is impossible to have. Im not sure what part of the scenario he didnt understand or he just really didnt have the kind consideration. Not good for a first time experience though but can be used as a reference if youre planning to bring your gadgets to them.
