I had been out of town for awhile and didn’t realize I could hold my mail. They had to suspend my mail because it had been so long. I had to go here to pick it all up, they were very friendly and quick to resolve the problem. Give them some slack they are very busy. Appreciate how hard they work, thank you!

Incompetent is an understatement, the person who delivers the mail to our building literally puts the wrong mail in our box every single time ( for the most part ), your box number could literally be on your mail, and it will end up in another mailbox…. What happens if I get certain mail that is sensitive or personal and it ends up with someone else!!!! You have the simplest job! Properly read the addresses and put in the proper mailbox! I would rather not deal with the condescending people at the annex! Like I’ve had to before

On April 15th at approximately 1220 I had one of the worst customer experiences in my lifetime at this facility. A week prior, I had lost my mail key and was unable to pickup my mail before it was removed from the mailbox (which is not the complaint here, this I understand completely). Inside my mailbox, I received a letter that my mail had been removed and was being held and that I needed to call a number (which I later found out was for the Post Office Annex at 300 Postal Plaza) and claim my mail within 14 days or it would be returned to sender. Thinking this would be a simple task, I called the number and waited for the prompts thst allowed me to contact customer service. I called several times over a three hour time period with no response. Unsure of what to do, I listened to the other automated prompts and it stated that this number was for the Postal Annex at 300 postal plaza (which was also corroborated by the official US Postal Office Website). I drove to the facility and was directed (by a very nice gentleman and probably the only good thing about this entire interaction) that I would enter the facility through the visitor door and ring the doorbell for customer service. About two minutes later (didn't feel like that long of a wait so I wasn't too pressed about it), a white woman approximately 5'7“, dark brown hair, average build, wearing jeans and a gray sweater, in her early 30s or late 20s answered the door. Unfortunately she was not wearing a name tag so I was unable to catch her name. She answered the door asking if I needed something (it should be noted that she was wearing wireless earbuds at the time and did not take them off at any point during our interaction). I stated that I had lost my mail key and by the time I had gotten a chance to get it replaced by another postal facility all of my mail was removed from the mailbox. I then stated that I had called the number on the letter I received (which I had in my hand) but no one had responded so I checked the number that this facility routed to and arrived in person. She then asked in a rather accusatory and condescending tone "and why do you think that your mail is here?" I replied thst I was unsure where my mail was but all I knew is that I needed to talk to someone to obtain my mail. She seemed frustrated by my response and asked to see the letter. She grabbed the letter as if she was receiving a detention notice from a middle school teacher and walked away stating "give me a minute" in a tone akin to a hormonal teenager annoyed at their parents. She arrived three minutes later with my mail and stated "you need to check your mailbox more often" as if she completely forgot that I stated earlier I did not have access to my mailbox. I left the facility thinking this was all behind me but it appears that she failed to either follow up with the retrieval procedure. The letter had stated that as long as I retrieved my mail within 14 days, it would remain mine and so would the mailbox. However, a week later, I received a form in the mailbox that is for individuals who have just moved into my apartment to change their address so that they receive mail there. Confused by this, I filled out the form and left it within the mailbox however, a week later I received another blank form as if it was never received. Since this period I have noticed I have received very little mail whatsoever and I am unsure if any mail has been kicked back to the sender without me knowing. This whole process has been a nightmare and I hope it will be resolved soon. However, knowing that this woman works here leaves me with little confidence.

Horribe no matter what time you call nobody answers the phones here. If you go in person you're required to ring the doorbell and wait. That is frustrating as well because it takes forever and all the employees walk past you without saying a word.
