I live in a neighboring town that requires a 40-minute round trip drive... today, that happened to be following a snow storm, meaning that I drove a very scary route (seeing multiple other cars that had crashed) only to find that the post office was closed. As I walked up, another person was leaving, warning me that the building was closed. In the few moments that I was there, two others also walked up to realize that the door was closed. So basically, at least four customers went out of their way to go to this post office during hours listed on google and on its official website only to have it closed. I immediately drove across the street to the UPS store, where I was able to successfully send my package. I also saw one of the others who had been at the post office there, too. Could I have waited until Monday? Sure. But since the website said it was open, I opted for today. Either be open when you say you are going to be, or change your hours. Pretty basic in 2023.
