- DMDavid MeyerJan 20, 20261.0I sent a poster in the proper protective tube to Maryland. The poster arrived damaged and the process to claim my $100 of insurance on the $177 poster is an absolute joke! The phone tree was 10 minutes, trying to get to an actual person. On five different occasions, I attempted to enter the complaint using the online process (By the way, that’s the only way you can file this complaint) and kept giving me an an error And eventually saying the picture was “too big”. It is my belief that the post office does this incredibly ridiculous process to get you to not file a claim Which is exactly where I am at so the post office has WON. I did get a hold of a woman named Christina, she was not helpful whatsoever. She just kept saying I had to enter it properly online or she could give me another phone number to call and of course wait another 10 or 15 minutes to get a hold of someone to get a paper form of a complaint sent to my house. The whole process is an absolute joke and it makes me understand why the post office is bleeding money every year! by the way, I did attempt to contact my local Sussex Wisconsin post office to talk to the postmaster personally. I realize this is a waste of time, but I still wanted to express my anger and after waiting three minutes and 21 seconds for someone to answer I hung up. Terrible ridiculous service by the USPS!!!!

I run a small business and mail seems to go through this system faster than any others in the area. Have also used their services for obtaining family passports.
