- ADAbigail DresenJul 9, 20181.0Disrespected. Plain and simple. I'm not sure where the normal post master, "Sue" went but I hope shes back, PRONTO. First of all, my husband and I live in the "non-delivery" portion of Silver Lake, meaning we don't have a mailbox and the convenience of USPS packages delivered to our house like normal. Instead we have to go to the post office and pick up our mail and packages. My husband and I both work 7:00-5:00 and it can take us a week to be able to pick up our packages! Simply due to the fact that we work the same hours the office is open! Given this is a huge inconvenience, but this is not the post office's fault. What their problem is, is the staff. My husband got off work early today and knew that I had received a slip that we have a package. He stopped in and told the woman, "I'm not sure if my wife was able to pick up the mail but I know she got a package slip" she demanded him ID and "who the package is for". Then followed with, "what do you even need?" I get the ID, protecting people! but holy guacamole lady, "What do you even need?" are you kidding?! I'm sorry we have no choice but to have our packages delivered to your post office and waste your precious time. This is not the first time I have been in here and these "fill in" employees have been rude and snippy with the guests that come in. Leaves me absolutely disappointed. Especially since were not going there by choice ANYWAYS.
