- LMLeida MargarethaMar 19, 20261.0This was by far the worst customer service I have ever received at any post office. I arrived at 7:30 AM to ship an international package. The employee took an extremely long time, over 1.5 hours, and never actually completed the international shipping paperwork or labeled it correctly, with multiple mistakes and misspellings along the way. She kept repeating that she was new, as if that excused her complete inability to handle a standard transaction. After I pointed out that a full hour had passed with virtually no real progress, she casually suggested I do everything online for the label myself. Why would any postal employee waste more than an hour of a customer's time and then tell them to handle it on their own? That is not service; that is incompetence. When I decided not to risk my package with her and left to ship it in Baraboo (where I finally received competent and efficient help), she acted annoyed and put out, as though I was the problem after she had dragged the process out for over 90 minutes. There was not a single apology, not even a "sorry for the delay." Just attitude. This level of unpreparedness, extreme slowness, deflection of blame, and poor customer attitude is completely unacceptable from USPS staff. The experience was so egregious that I filed a formal complaint with USPS.
