Just wow. I went in this time to send an express flat envelope containing personal travel documents to Hong Kong on behalf of a friend there. I was told that an "EEI" number had to be obtained for any shipment to China. Never heard of this before! But the staffer said they wouldn't ship without it and declined to offer much further information or assistance. I went away and did some research and an EEI does NOT seem to be required for personal documents or non-technical papers unless the value is over $2500. There was no reason why FedEx should have given me this runaround. I called DHL in Madison (a new office on W. University) and they said, "No, that EI requirement is not an issue in your case." So DHL got this business and will in future because FedEx employees ought to know the rules better than this and stop wasting people's time.

I use fedex particularly at Mineral Point Rd Madison WI location on Wed Jan 28, 2026. They told me the package will be delivered on Friday at 8pm. My brother in law was waiting for delivery (singature required) instead of sleeping because he works night shift but delivery was changed to Monday. . I use fedex for fast delivery but it is NOT FAST AT ALL!!! SO UNRELIABLE! and you are paying triple compared to sending it via regular mail.

Since when did stores value and reward online shoppers sitting on their butts ordering on their cell phones or computers, while ppl that physically drive to the locations to ask for a service get charged more? I asked for a standard poster to be made in 2hrs, but they tried to tack on a $15 rush fee; they weren't doing anything, there was only one other customer and no one else in the store. Provided there may have been other online jobs that were submitted or requested. I was told fees are waived when ordering online. They don't want my money, that's perfectly fine. I was happy to give them business, but I guess getting paid not to do anything is more their forté. The older white lady made it quite clear and justified that online customers have more priority and perks over ppl that try to come in to the store. The younger Asian lady was very kind and tried to be accommodating. Im giving one star bc I didn't get a chance to even place an order wo the older lady yapping at me.
