I’ve never had so many issues with a post office before and I’ve lived in a lot of different places. Every winter when I’m ordering packages for Christmas, I get multiple notifications that the packages are being held at the post office “by request of customer.” Last year when I asked why this happens, they said it’s because they didn’t have access to the mailbox because of snow. Even after we excessively shoveled so they had no excuse and could easily pull up to our mailbox/driveway, they still would write the same thing and hold our packages. We made a point this year to shovel well by the mailbox and plow our driveway and it happened again. I have two really little ones and I’m not just able to up and pack them up and go grab our packages from the post office 10 mins away when they hold them, so we made sure they had access. They’re always rude when I walk in and ask about it too, I’m going to start bringing pictures of what our driveway looks like. I feel like the drivers are just lazy and don’t want to do any extra work like deliver packages if they don’t have to. This is pretty frustrating every year. Meanwhile UPS/Amazon never have any issues delivering our packages to our door or mailbox.. So I know it’s just pure laziness at this point. As I’m watching UPS bring s package up our driveway while our post office did not deliver one this morning.

Has to be the worst USPS branch and delivery route carriers in the country. My driveway was partially blocked for concrete repairs one day, but the side path was open. They refused to deliver that day and then claimed on future days that the driveway was blocked again. Except I then had a Ring flood cam which saw the carrier speed by without stopping, and no obstructions. I went out of town for 3 days. A package was deliveeed on Tuesday to a parcel locker. I went to claim it on Friday and there was a nasty note about not hogging the parcel lockers. My house was 1/4 block from the parcel locker and we had filled out the form authoring porch delivery. This is a bad situation and the people of Cross Plains need to band together and fight a really corrupt and lazy branch. We deserve better.

I would give 0 stars if it were an option. Our Sunday postal carrier Jeff was extremely disrespectful and hostile when we politely asked that he drive safely through our small neighborhood. After being asked to simply drive the speed limit, he was immediately defensive, argumentive and down right rude. I have never felt the need to report anyone to their supervisor, but when someone puts my kids (who are just trying to ride their bikes in front of their house) safety at risk...
