- ADAdrienne Engle DareJan 6, 20231.017 people in line yesterday, 14 the day before. I've been trying to pick up 5 packages since before Christmas. Like most people I don't have 2 hours to stand in line. The entire island is in an uproar. It's not our local employees; it's the postal service not supplying needed staffing. Most days there are there are 2 workers up front, but even they disappear for breaks, lunch or just going in the back to hunt for packages, leaving one overworked employee to serve a line of people that fills the tiny lobby and then winds itself around and thru the road of post office boxes. The mail carriers who deliver mail to homes are out delivering mail until after 9 pm. This is negatively impacting 10,000 people. Something with the USPS has gone horribly wrong.
