- DKDoug KabelNov 14, 20251.0I was returning a faulty generator to Westinghouse Corp. It was under 150 lbs, had no gasoline, nor any petroleum liquids, nor any lithium batteries. The manager said that the generate (6600watts) was over their 100watt lithium battery allowance. This location clearly had no clue about what is considered a hazmat shipment, refused to show me their haz mat rules, and only assisted in lifting my package back into my car. Later I called FedEx and they scheduled a pickup immediately. in the end, I tried to do everything right, and wasted my day with inadequately trained staff.

"Do you want to speak with a representative" "Yes Please" "Sorry, you can't speak with a representative at this time. Please call back later "... during business hours. Over and over. Yeah... real professional. Oh but of course, they DID tell me all about the apps they want me to download and the other 10 items I didn't need to hear that wasted my time. That was SO useful.

Then in addition would not take my item that was supposed to be unpackaged and tried to sell me a $12 box to put in my items that were supposed to be unboxed. Telling me they only had space for it to fit in a 8x12 mailer otherwise I had to pay for a box or take it home and pack it and bring it back. I called customer service and they were able to schedule the pickup without it being packed up without any problem. Why do they make it harder on their customers? Ridiculous
