Brought in a large envelope to mail today. A little thick and only 5.7 ounces. we wanted to ship this Usps.
Initially, the gal at the desk wanted to charge us $29.62 , then 18, then 12 and lastly, after we continually questioned this price, they made it eight dollars. We still questioned this price and they told us it is because of the ZIP Code.
We complained about that And she told us well shipping rates for the post office have gone up so that’s what it is
We took it back and went to the post office and we got charged a whopping three dollars to send this item. No issues.
We questioned the post office about this and they said being an independent they can charge whatever they want.
So whether they were making a mistake or truly were getting a five dollar profit off of three dollar item we are unsure but watch pricing. Always good to have an understanding of how much you should be spending before you go into a contract place. Always better off going directly to the post office or printing it off-line.
We have had more than our share of issues with this UPS store from poor notary service
To overcharging to super long lines.
Just some advice to help you save money at Christmas.

Needed documents notarized, so we waited in line like everyone else. When it was our turn we were told we had to wait for Christian the Notary to finish up with the customer he was working with. After he was done with his customer instead of helping us he proceeded to help more customers that were after us in line. I brought it to his attention that we waited and were ahead of the customers behind us and he had a I don't care attitude and said he had to do what he had to do. I told him he should be helping the customers in the order that they waited in line and he was rude and could care less. His business attire was not professional at all, he was wearing sweat pants low on his body, clicking his pen and tapping on the counter. The store was a mess with boxes and packages everywhere, I will never return to this UPS store.
