But today, in 2021, it's still a convenient spot to drop off a stamped postcard or letter — even when the office is not open. I mailed a bunch of cards I had written en route here from Chicago. I can't wait to see my friends’ reactions when they get my card. Postage stamped #skykomish. Notice — the post office is located just off the Old Cascade Highway. You have to enter the town and cross the Skykomish bridge from Highway 2 to get there.
