Excellent customer service. Wasn't crowded today so I went in and out really fast.

Bryan was the employee I encountered and he was just a miserable person not only with me but with an old gentleman behind me. I asked for stamps. He pulled out a stack of stamps and said “how many” I said “how much is that” he then replied “15 buck” I sat for a second before responding because I didn’t need a stack. I then said “I just need a few, how much for just a sleeve” he then replied “ I just told you 15 didn’t I” Little to no respect, took everything I had to not go off on this dude. Definitely wouldn’t have him dealing with customers!!

We had a terrible time at the post office today attempting to get passports. I booked an appointment online well in advance for passports and photos. Got there about 10 minutes early, coming from the south end with a baby and 4 year old. Then waited until 15-20 minutes past our appointment time. The man "helping" us said we were missing lots of information on my daughter's form and we can't do it today. I asked what is missing and he said you just have to look at it and see. Finally he said there are blank boxes. But the blank boxes were things for occupations and marriage which don't apply for a child. He never said what we were actually missing. Then advised us to get pictures elsewhere because children can take too much time! He ended up kicking us out of this appointment and not even ringing up our stamps; another employee had to do that for us. It may seem insignificant, but taking an hour and a half of driving, getting paperwork together, and carting a 2 month old and 4 year old there to wait in a crowded tiny space, just to be turned away for what appeared no reason, was awful. And unless I want to go off island, I am stuck trying again at this same place.

I’ve consistently had issues with this post office closing around 5 PM (before most people get off work) and they lock the doors to even the self serve area. Once the doors are locked, PO boxes are completely inaccessible, package drop off is impossible, and even the self service kiosk cannot be used. On my most recent visit, I could see a staff member inside and knocked on the door to ask for assistance, but I was ignored. This kind of unprofessional behavior is incredibly frustrating, especially when it has been an ongoing issue for years. A post office should at least allow access to PO boxes and self service options after the counter closes. As it stands, this location is extremely inconvenient and unreliable for anyone with a standard work schedule.
