- RPRide PNWDec 13, 20221.0They will accept packages from UPS ,amazon etc... But will not deliver them. They will no longer hold packages for even 24 hours. They will not notify you of packages left at the post office. If you track your package it will say "Held at Post Office, At Customer Request". Even if you want your package delivered to the your house. But again they wont actually hold them. They will immediately send them back. Furthermore, they apparently wont pick up the phone anymore. I called from 10 am-1130 am. I then called the Maple Falls post office and they picked up, were polite and helpful. They said they would email Deming to hold my package. I left work early to get my package. The new lady at the desk had no idea. She said nothing is here, we don't get emails and was very confrontational. I asked her to look again... It WAS THERE. It is very disconcerting that a post office can be this disorganized. Absolutely awful! UPDATE: I was informed that the new lady in Deming doesn't know how to use the computer there to check emails regarding delivery's. That is why she said "i didn't get a email," she didn't check it. Who is paying for them to ship packages back and forth? Huge waste of time and money. The Solution for all Glacier residents is to use Maple Falls as the Address even if it is considered Deming also use the Maple Falls zip not Deming and lastly enter your po box after your name. They basically said the Deming post office is useless. I agree.

I dont like how the USPS merged with FedEx and UPS where they now cant deliver to my house instead to the post office. The goal is to make sure I now address all my packages to street address then # symbol, followed by my PO Box. this trick was shared by clerk Shauna and it seems to work, no issues since. thank you Deming Post office.
