I had a great experience sending packages. Each time the process was very smooth and took no more than two minutes. I will continue sending with this USPS!

We had a lovely experience a year ago getting my kids passports here so I felt like booking mine was a no brainer. Welp, I had a completely opposite experience today and the time I had with my kids is the only thing bringing it up from one star.
I waited in the hall for my appt and realized I had missed one little section of my paperwork so I started to complete that. The door whipped open and the clerk said tersely "oh! You haven't even done your paperwork??? You have to have that done AHEAD of time! And guess what if you mess it up you get to start ALLLLLLLL OVER AGAIN. And I cancel your appt! And then..." I couldn't even get a word in to be like "no! I just missed one line!" Ater berating me she slammed the door and I hear her say loudly "what is wrong with people???!!?? What is with this day????
Blah blah freakin blah heaven forbid I need to do anything during this time that serves me I'm so sorry "clerk 7" (if only I had your real name!!! Not like anything would be done about this judging from the other low ratings given)
She was rude the entire time. Like after that intro it's not worth mentioning it all- she was just snotty and I was clearly an inconvenience at best.
My picture is terrible and the expression on my face says it all- like do you really hate your job this much??? What is going on with your life to be this horrible straight out of the gate to a total stranger? Wow.
I will have my passport and that's all that matters but heads up in case you're having a hard day, juggling kids, DON'T have everything sealed up with a bow like they apparently expect- it could be a rough one. If I was in a bad head space or stressed out this "experience" would have been salt on a wound for sure.
Happy holidays, clerk 7.. hope things get better for you.

Wildly understaffed. Get ready to wait in a 30 minute line. Often one person working here even in the days leading up to Christmas.

Frustrated by this post office. I had a package get hung up here, I started a customer service case over it for them to locate it. After this office not updating the case for 3 days, me calling the main support line pushing them to update, they finally replied on the 4th day telling me the package was lost. Cool, fine I can talk to the seller whatever. BUT a week later I get a slip in my mail box saying they "missed" me and couldn't deliver a package - the company name of it showing to be the one they supposedly lost. So I go to the post office to pick it up and THEY CANT FIND IT. This is absolutely ridiculous. First you say you lost my package, then some carrier leaves a slip insinuating you have it (and if the carrier did have it why didn't they leave it there was no signature required??), then you suddenly don't. And while the guy at the office seemed nice enough, he wasn't very helpful in finding a solution. He just went to the back a few times to look, and came back and shook his head. No saying he'll talk to the carriers, ask around, no apology. NOTHING. I am a very understanding person but I do not like being jerked around like this and taking time out of my weekend for something that's not there.
