- KSKevin ScottOct 14, 20241.0All the staff here are very friendly and helpful people. However, the hours of operation are insane and demonstrably out-of-touch with reality. Anybody who works a regular 8-hour shift accross those hours has no CHANCE of getting their mail during the week. A working adult should NOT have to leave work EARLY just to check their mail. You would think that the government's official method of communicating with its citizens would at least be accessible. I recently moved to the area and all goverment offices run like this... DMV, town hall, post office, transfer station, etc. We can do better. ***EDIT Removing my last star because they do not list their phone number here. They list the USPS main phone number, which forces you to deal with a robot that doesn't understand what I'm saying, nor does ANYTHING to help with my issues. And finally - I have critical medical equipment shipping in through Fedex (the shippers only carrier). I do not have a physical address that items can be delivered to. This PO Box, that I pay for to BE MY MAILING address, is my ONLY mailing address. I have been dealing with this fiasco for two days now. USPS denies FedEx shipments or forces me to pay a second time for shipping. Despite them not actually shipping the package, they demand payment. This is upsurd and pointless.
