    An incident I had here on February 5th was absolutely horrible. I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a deeply disturbing and unacceptable customer service experience I had with an employee named Larry at this Woodbridge, Virginia location that could have put me and my son in real danger. His actions were completely unacceptable, and left me shaken and anxious. It is too much to type here, but I would avoid this store and go to the Lorton location if you’re looking for any reasonable amount of customer service or care. Larry was rude, dismissive, deceptive, unprofessional and almost doubled my price after confirming the price to me and said the quote was even checked and approved my his manager, then because I dared have a complaint about it, being almost double and his extremely poor treatment of me, he called the police on us. This was not warranted as I was not threatening, cursing, or yelling at him, all I wanted to do was express my concerns, and because he didn’t want to listen he ignored me, turned his back on me, and walked away. He was cutting me off, after I had to come into the store because he refused to listen to me over the phone and began ignoring me, and the products that I needed was very important. At the store, he continued the same behavior, cutting me off and just telling me the manager said he can put a discount on it and he needs to put the order in so he can clock out for the day. He didn’t want to hear anything I had to say. And it was funny that he was now able to speak to the manager when over the phone he dismissed me and told me nothing could be done because the manager was gone. After that I agreed to just go ahead and pay the higher price for now, because I really needed the merchandise and I told him I would handle it in the morning with the manager and corporate, he still continue to be rude to me. Then he just ignored me altogether when I tried to explain why this situation was so frustrating. And although I could hear his background on the phone still, he refused to respond after several attempts. He just ignored me. That’s why I had to go up to the store. Because the merchandise I needed was time sensitive for an event that was happening in two days. At the store, he continued the same behavior and ignored me, was dismissive, turned his back on me, and wouldn’t even give me the respect or courtesy of a conversation. A customer should have the right to express their concerns without being ignored, cut off repeatedly, and treated rudely or spoken to rudely. He then made the entire situation worse After he called the police by suggesting to the dispatcher that I could have a weapon. And pointed out that my son was wearing a hoodie In a way that suggested suspicion or wrongdoing.. Come on! It was cold outside. Completely ridiculous. This behavior was dangerous and perpetuated certain stereotypes. When I left the store to call the police myself to tell them I absolutely did not have a weapon, for fear they would come up and approached me thinking I did have one, and it get ugly, another customer left with me and she stated how she could not believe I was treated that way and apologized to me for what I had just went through. It was the first apology I had gotten because Larry made no apology, even though it was their mistake that caused me to have a complaint in the first place. I am writing a full formal complaint and sending it into their corporate office today. Even written here, there are many complaints about the treatment of the customers by this store location. It is very disappointing that FedEx has not stepped in and retrained or made strategic changes in management to prevent customers from having to experience the horrible treatment I experienced. Because of this, I hold FedEx liable. I also have a video of this incident that I will be sharing with their corporate office as well.
