These people do not even deserve one star because they should not even have a job. Any person you talk to at this location will lie to you and do everything they possibly can in order to get rid of you. They only have one person at the front and always have a line stretched all the way to the front door because they are so slow waiting on each person. If they ever go to the back for some reason than they disappear for another ten or more minutes. The mail carrier on my route has not delivered any mail for the past 3 days. I have informed delivery that is supposed to let you know exactly how many pieces of mail will be delivered daily. The problem is that the carrier refuses to deliver the mail and they know that nothing will ever be done to them about it. The informed delivery also tells you when your mail was delivered but that is a lie because I know for a fact that no mail was ever delivered. I went to the post office located at 933 Broad St. to complain and they told me I had to fill out a stupid form and leave it then come back later. I told them that I wanted to speak with a supervisor than they made me wait over 15 minutes hoping that I would get mad and leave. When I explained to the supervisor about no mail being delivered she went to the back and returned with about twenty letters that were never delivered or left inside my mailbox. She kept making up excuses for the incompetent carrier so I asked her to pay me $70,000.00 a year to deliver mail and I would make sure it got done. The very next day the mail carrier was on our street delivering mail but never delivered my mail on purpose. If you file a complaint online it will take about a week for them to refer you back to the same post office that you complained about and nothing will ever be done.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This post office is awful. They don’t answer the phone, they don’t actually hold mail that’s on a mail hold, and they said it would take SIX MONTHS for me to get my mailbox key. I’ve had packages vanish and mail no where to be found. This is ridiculous and I’m over it.

This location is useless one person will tell you one thing and then another person will tell you something else. So I moved the end of October the end of the 2nd week of October I went to chowan location because close to my house and put in a change of address for November 1st. Pay attention to the dates important for the situation. So when my sister and I moved into our new apartment we were told to go to the post office and put in for our mailbox keys would take about 2 weeks we get there and we are told 2 months they put our mail on hold and we can come pick up our mail that was October 30th today is November 24th and I have gotten no mail now back to my old address they have been delivering mail there as of last week the told me it takes 30 days once you put in a change of address but no one told me that so then he says we can put it on hold and you can pick it up here ok great he says he sees where the change was put in. So Today I go to pick up my mail and guess what yep no mail and the girl tells me that she is not seeing a change of address ??? I feel out another change of address and leave before I say something I regret. I go to a post office in Chesapeake to see how I can reach a post master and am told the one from that location won’t call me back or speak to me they have had complaints before??? I was told I would have to speak to a congress representative unbelievable

VERY FRIENDLY male clerk. However, this facility is slower than a snail moving backwards. Don't come here if you have any social or anxiety disorders or of you have any appointments on the same day. I've never ever seen a post office with 3 personnel and literally watch 1 person try to juggle 13 people in line trying to hold on to their package for an hour before they get served. In addition, this place lost my legal document in a standard envelope that I was mailing to the Portsmouth circuit court which I hand delivered to pay for extra postage because of weight. 🤣 I hate to shame people but this place is abysmal.
