    I don't usually write many negative reviews, but sometimes it is warranted. I just dropped off an Amazon package to be returned, at the Portsmouth, Va location, but the tape on the top lid had been cut. My wife had cut the box open, not realizing what it was. The actual Amazon box, which was inside of the outer box, had never been taken out. Everything was still in the original box, as I had received it, it just needed a piece of tape to secure the lid. The man would not tape the lid, and made me purchase a roll of tape to do this. I wasn't asking for anything to be re-boxed, a piece of tape was all that was needed. Maybe you guys need to communicate that to Amazon, so that can then be communicated that to their customers. You guys are only responsible for accepting the package and scanning it. No action will be taken on your part, unless it comes with a fee. This definitely seems to be a little over the top, "in my opinion". I didn't realized that tape was an expensive commodity. have never had another UPS Store location to ask me to do that in the past. I will not use this location again, unless it is an absolute emergency.

    Courteous and polite customer service. I've had to fax important job related paperwork on multiple occasions and their services were always faster than expected. On My first visit they had a line backed up to the entrance, but by the time I got to my car and checked my watch I realized I wasn't even in there for 15 minutes. Great place for shipping big items... ( Side Note: female customer service agents were easy on the eyes...)

    I have encountered multiple times with this particular location at victory crossing by the owner and the african american so called manager, imposing additional hardships on customers by requiring them to purchase boxes to make their returns. I informed them that this is how it was delivered me. However, when I tried to return a package that is in plastic the same way it was delivered to me. This particular location tries to make you purchase a box to returnthe item. This is how they Increase, more revenue for the store. This is just their entire strategy and tactic that they use and explain it away as being something else or policy. If were policy, why does UPS deliver the items in the same manner. However, when there's a need to return something, they require it to be in a box.Totally absurd and predatory practice of theirs. This is a very unethical and morally predatory practice that they are able to get away with because this is a franchise, and each location is different. Each location can make up its own rules and policies. As difficult as times are now, everyone should be trying to pull together to find ways to eliminate additional hardships costs. Not strained by predatory practices that this location imposes. Again, it is only the owner and the African American so-called manager that imposes these additional hardships on their customers. It is not the other 2 women that work there. They will accept it as it is. Which demonstrates that it is totally unnecessary. They are able to get a way with this, or explain it away as being policy. Because not enough people are speaking up about the extra hardship that they impose on their customers. And also it is closer to the needy, residents that live in that nearby community that rely heavily on this service, so they feel like they have no choice but to go along with this unfair practice that being imposed. As for me, I will stop patronizing that location. The other locations are not the same. I left the store and arranged for UPS to pick it up from my home. The same way that it was denied @ that location that it could not be sent in plastic. Shame on them.

    ⭐ 1-Star Review This location admitted they failed to print all the documents I paid for. Instead of correcting their mistake, they tried to charge me extra after the fact without telling me the price beforehand. When I couldn’t pay the surprise fee, they banned me from the store. Customers need to know that this place will charge you for their own errors and then refuse service if you question it. Zero pricing transparency. Zero accountability. Very unprofessional.
