Went to PO on 24th. Sign on door. Closed due to short staff. Anyone ever hear of temporarily moving staff to cover a vacancy. Poor service.

Very disappointed. I had an appointment for passport renewal and photo. When I arrived on my time , they told me the person who was supposed to handle it was not there, and no one else could help. No notice, no solution, just wasted my time. Poor service and very unprofessional. I would not recommend this place.

Overall, this post office is poorly ran with employees who do not value customer service or speed. I dread having to go here if that’s my only option. This is also the post office where my mail comes from. Yesterday (2/12/26), my wife was outside and saw the mail truck pull up to the beginning of our 250 foot driveway and turn around unexpectedly rather than drop off our package. Later that day my wife received an automated text saying an animal was in the way. Here’s the story: my wife was talking to our neighbor; his old yellow lab came to say hi to my wife; the post office truck did what I previously mentioned and left. Very different story than ‘an animal was in the way’. There was no attempt to come down the driveway. No bother putting the mailbox-sized package in the mailbox. I understand the fear or potential threat that can be used by a postal employee for reasoning. But the thing that gets me is no attempt was made. No stopping the truck, asking to put the neighbor dog away if they were afraid, no attempt at anything. That’s the part that gets me. Now… we have to go to them. To the post office I loath going to because of the lack of service, a long wait lines, no my level of effort must be greater than theirs to perform what is their duties and responsibilities…. Those who (have to) go here would say the same with a majority voice is my supposition. I would love to see the change- who knows- maybe leadership will see the overall poor rating, my disappointment, and decide to make changes. I gave this one-star rating because zero is not possible and I did get a smile from an employee one time. I wish I had her name- I would shout it out here
