Queued for 20 mins , one lady serving at counter. She had various problem parcels, several people eventually left to go elsewhere. I got to the counter and all I wanted was a stamp. They didn’t have any stamps and the printer had broken.
The post offices need updating … postage costs enough so they have the money

Overall, this post office is poorly ran with employees who do not value customer service or speed. I dread having to go here if that’s my only option. This is also the post office where my mail comes from.
Yesterday (2/12/26), my wife was outside and saw the mail truck pull up to the beginning of our 250 foot driveway and turn around unexpectedly rather than drop off our package. Later that day my wife received an automated text saying an animal was in the way. Here’s the story: my wife was talking to our neighbor; his old yellow lab came to say hi to my wife; the post office truck did what I previously mentioned and left. Very different story than ‘an animal was in the way’. There was no attempt to come down the driveway. No bother putting the mailbox-sized package in the mailbox. I understand the fear or potential threat that can be used by a postal employee for reasoning. But the thing that gets me is no attempt was made. No stopping the truck, asking to put the neighbor dog away if they were afraid, no attempt at anything. That’s the part that gets me. Now… we have to go to them. To the post office I loath going to because of the lack of service, a long wait lines, no my level of effort must be greater than theirs to perform what is their duties and responsibilities…. Those who (have to) go here would say the same with a majority voice is my supposition.
I would love to see the change- who knows- maybe leadership will see the overall poor rating, my disappointment, and decide to make changes. I gave this one-star rating because zero is not possible and I did get a smile from an employee one time. I wish I had her name- I would shout it out here

I've had four packages recently all sent back to sender because they've never arrived at my door or my apartment. My last package my fifth one is being held there and it says attempted delivery without it even being attempted. Normally when they attempt a delivery I would get like a piece of paper that says attempted. Call this or call to reschedule an attempt. Nothing so they didn't show up. I didn't get no piece of paper and apparently they attempted my delivery. On top of that I go there. They pick my package up and lo and behold. They closed at 2:00 for some reason. What is happening right now? I'm extremely angry because it should not be this complicated to dilever a package. Any other package delivery I have gets here on time but when it's through this post office they're just getting sent back to sender or getting delayed and I'm not getting any of my packages

This location needs to hire an additional person. It’s typically just one sweet lady at the front. Oh and did I mention that she’s always supposed to be doing passport applications at the same??
The lines can get ridiculously long. They either need to hire more people or have some sort of self-kiosk. This is a shame to our community. The only reason this place is not getting 1 star is because the people working there are genuinely nice but overworked and not given the resources to make the location a good customer experience. Shame on USPS and the city of Norfolk.

This Review is a must:
I am still feeling some kind of way right now, and it's 5:53pm. I was at this Post Office today at about 11:45. Here's what happened: I walked into this Post Office and the line was all the way to the door. I had just left the One on Granby Street for the same reason. I was out running errands so I said, "I'd better stay here so I can send this package off today. I have no idea how long the people ahead of me had been there because, I was the last one in line. I was at the door! I said to the people in front of me in 3 more minutes, I will be here 15 minutes we need some help here. The clerk heard me and she was overwhelmed with Passports and packages so she walked to the back and you could hear the conversation of her speaking to a lady asking for help. The line is to the door, she said. We later found out the person was the Manager who literally tore into the clerk so loud one of the people in line shouted: "Don't talk to her like that we can hear you!" She needs help!" It didn't stop there, she continued to loudly berate the clerk telling her: "By no means did she have any intention of helping her." The clerk politely came back to the front and continued helping the customers. I knew right away this incident required a Review. The Manager kept on loudly from the back airing her reasons why she had no intention of helping the Clerk, to the worker's in the back. I was waiting for her to pop out because my phone was waiting to get a pic of that, - "Beast." No! She never came forward. Another clerk came and quietly told the Clerk, "That was wrong the way she treated you, I'm going to say something to her." I was still at the door and 15 more minutes passed with about 7 more people coming, and seeing the line turned around and left. The Clerk politely asked: "How many people have Passports w/ photos. 3 people said, "We do!" After finishing the current Passport she said: "Please! I need to close the station down for one hour. "Can you please come back in an hour." Everyone understood but me, lol! Yes I did but after everyone walked out I went to the counter and asked: "Can you please, take this One last PKG. I have been to another P.O. with the same problem with the lines extending to the door?" She agreed, then said: "I have no help, the Manager just resigned when the other employee said something to her about her conduct." Wow! You mean to tell me the Manager got that offended about being reprimanded that she walked out and left the Post Office unmanned of a top official. That was unacceptable! A another customer said, "Her name is June." June doesn't need a job where she's in any position of authority. "Her behavior, tone and outburst shows she has mental and emotional problems that need to be addressed. This world is crumbling people. "Be careful because the Devil's time is short and he has stepped up his game." I am praying for us, - All!
