Very early next morning drove to post office and took inside post office and dropped into mail slot. Today I get notice from county my envelope was postmarked after June 5 due date and owe $22 penalty plus interest.

Interrupted clerk once during an outside of the bldg conversation and once again after she finally returned inside. Instead of servicing a waiting customer she starts sorting the mail. Excuse me, can I get a book of stamps? (2nd request, same way) Once I do my job. I said forget it, I guess this isn't part of your job. SEVENTEEN MINUTES! Even the sweetheart sweeping the floor shook her head.
