On November 10, 2025, I visited the post office to have my envelopes weighed to determine whether I required a single postage stamp or an additional one. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted. I sought assistance with the postage stamps and was informed that I indeed needed another stamp. I returned to my car, attempting to locate another stamp, as these were elegant invitations and I did not wish to affix the bus stamp to the envelope, as the $.29 postage required for the invitation was not met by the bus stamp. I returned and waited for over an hour without expressing any complaints. I acknowledge that the post office is busy and understand that the holiday season is approaching. However, it was disheartening to observe that only one employee remained working by the time it was my turn. I was assisted by another employee, who subsequently helped the previous employee who had assisted me earlier. When it was my turn, I was rudely greeted. While I should have been the one upset or rude for waiting over an hour, I maintained a polite and kind demeanor, explaining to the employee what the previous employee had told me, which was that I needed another stamp. The employee who was now assisting me contradicted this, stating that I did not require another stamp. I expressed my confusion, questioning why one employee had indicated that I needed another stamp while the other had stated otherwise. The employee became visibly upset, insisting that I did not understand. I found this behavior disrespectful. Had the employee simply explained why I should or should not need another stamp, I would have been more understanding. I then asked the employee to check the remaining envelopes, and he ultimately confirmed that I did indeed need a postage stamp. I inquired about his recommendation, wondering if I should purchase all the stamps or just the ones that indicated a need for one. I was perplexed by the inconsistency in the stamps, as they contained the same amount of material. The employee’s behavior was consistently disrespectful and rude. If an employee in customer service cannot maintain a positive and courteous demeanor, they should not be employed in that role. I found this experience to be particularly unpleasant due to the extended wait time and the subsequent rude and disrespectful behavior when it was my turn. If an employee is unwilling to be kind and explain their reasoning, they should not be employed in customer service.

They do not answer the phone. The do not deliver all the mail they receive. They often do not even bother leaving notices for certified mail and end up just sending it back without even one notice. They did that to me for the same package, twice. No notice for the second time at all. Legal documents and paper work. It took me months to receive something from inside the same town.

WORST PLACE EVER. I went two times, because my package was lost. The tracking said multiple times over the course of 7 days that it arrived in Lynchburg and was picked up by an individual, (i did not pick it up). Then after being in Lynchburg for 3 days my package was shipped to Greensboro, NC to then be shipped back to Lynchburg to say package was picked up. My mom went to the post office where she shipped the package from to see if the label was incorrect, and it was not. The post office HERE, would only tell me that Liberty picked it up. I do not live on campus, and the package was shipped to an apartment complex. i went to Liberty even though I knew they didn’t have my package to only be told by them apologetically that they do not have my package, the tracking number and my name are not even in their records! So I went back to the post office, and again they told me that Liberty picked it up despite me telling them that Liberty DOES NOT HAVE IT. Even if the zip code was incorrect, the rest of the address does not exist, so the package should’ve been returned to sender. This post office is incompetent, and the workers did not seem to care at all. Edit to add: My mom did put the wrong zip code, there is still however a flaw in the system that none of the USPS facilities recognized an insufficient address until I notified them. Only Liberty realized that the address does not exist. I was thankfully able to get in contact with a post office manager, yet she only explained why the issue occurred and didn’t actually solve anything. I went to Liberty who unfortunately had already sent my package back, but considering the situation are ‘optimistic’ that the package will be sent back to them and they now have my information to contact me. 🙄

They truly don't answer the phone but I've seen them in office use it to call someone.

DO NOT HOLD YOUR PACKAGE HERE. i came there to pick up a package that was being held for me because i thought it was going to be quicker. turns out i was very WRONG. there were only two men working the windows and took their time with the people in front of me which is understandable and not an issue at all. took almost 20 minutes. but when it was finally my turn to be attended to, the older guy with the goatee asked me for my confirmation number, i had to pull out my phone to pull it up for him (would take me maybe 15 seconds) and he just handed me a paper and pencil to write it down and made me stand on the side so he could take care of the next customer. extremely inconsiderate considering the woman ahead of me took 20 minutes and he could not take even take 30 seconds for me to look up a confirmation number. I gave him my confirmation number after he took care of the customer and he said he couldn’t find the package and called a supervisor to come help find the package. I waited 30 MINUTES for this supervisor to come upstairs and the goatee guy was not acknowledging me at all, did not apologize for the wait, did not give me reassurance, NOTHING. i was just left there standing in a corner with no service whatsoever. another man with an earring came to help out with the 3rd window and did not acknowledge me either. I tried to ask him multiple how much longer it was going to take and he kept looking at me and ignoring. extremely weird and rude. i am a younger woman and these men treated me very rudely & in considerately. I waited for an hour and a half to get a PACKAGE and none of them apologized for the inconvenience or the wait it took. also, the phone rings and they don’t answer it. this post office needs new management. period.
