As busy as can be just after Christmas and they were still able to come out to get a package from a handicap man... Lifesaver

I walked into The UPS Store on Centreville Road during the holiday return rush and immediately realized this was not a normal “drop it off and leave” operation. After watching what was going on, I left without shipping anything. The line was backed up out the door and barely moving. While standing there, I watched multiple customers get stopped and told their return packaging was “not acceptable” and that they needed to purchase additional boxes or packing materials before their packages could be accepted. This happened repeatedly, with different customers, in a way that felt systematic rather than occasional. What made it especially frustrating is that many of these items were being returned in packaging that clearly worked just fine when UPS delivered them in the first place. Somehow it was good enough to get to my house, but suddenly not good enough to go back out. That disconnect speaks for itself. There is no true drop-off process here. If you already have a label and a box, you still get stuck in the same slow line as people buying packing services, while the counter conversation turns into a debate about whether your box is “acceptable.” The whole setup feels designed to slow things down and push extra purchases during peak season. This store is a franchise, not UPS corporate, but it carries the UPS name and absolutely trades on it. Watching a basic return turn into a sales negotiation was enough for me to decide my time (and patience) was better spent elsewhere. I did not ship anything from this location, and based on what I observed, I won’t be back. If you need a fast, no-drama label scan and drop-off, do yourself a favor and choose another UPS Store.

This UPS Store is convenient to get to, which I definitely appreciate. However, the duo working here tends to move extremely slowly. Yesterday, the line stretched all the way to the door, and during the entire time I waited, the man behind the counter assisted only one customer while the woman handled everyone else. Even when I left and drove past the store afterward, he was still helping the same customer he’d been with when I first arrived. They really need to speed things up to keep the line moving more efficiently. Otherwise, the service itself is friendly, but the pace makes the experience more frustrating than it needs to be.

This is my go-to UPS Store for all my Amazon returns and shipping needs, and I’ve never received anything less than exceptional customer service. Hands down, this is probably the best UPS Store I’ve ever been to when it comes to professionalism, efficiency, and friendliness. The staff here are consistently pleasant, patient, and genuinely happy to help. There’s one gentleman in particular—who I believe is the supervisor—who always goes above and beyond for every customer. I’ve watched him assist people countless times, and he always does it with a positive attitude and a smile, no matter how busy it gets. It’s rare these days to find a place where excellent service feels effortless, but this location truly delivers. I highly recommend this UPS Store for anyone looking for a smooth, friendly, and stress-free experience.
