- JHJoanne HDec 19, 20251.0I recently ordered card prints from Staples, and the print quality was extremely poor. The photos had visible lines throughout, the contrast was overly harsh, and skin tones appeared green and unnatural. Because of this, I contacted Staples customer service online and was advised to return the order to the store for a refund. When I brought the cards back to the store, the employee who assisted me, was very unprofessional. When I explained the quality issues, he looked at the prints and said that he was aware of the lines because their main printer was broken and they were using a secondary printer. He then stated that the quality was not going to get any better. What was most upsetting was that he told me that I “have to do better on my own” with my photos, implying that the issue was my fault rather than a known printer problem. He repeated multiple times that their quality would not improve and that this was “all they can do.” His tone made me feel as though I was causing trouble simply for asking about the poor quality, even though he admitted the printer issue himself. I found this interaction extremely disappointing, especially from a large company like Staples. Being told that subpar quality is expected and that the customer should “do better with their photo” is unacceptable, my photos are in the best resolution they can be. Both the print quality and the customer service experience were far below reasonable expectations. *Update: I never got my refund back in my card! The employee told me that the manager would issue the refund but never was refunded.
