John was superb with customer service as I purchased a laptop and printer. I also noted his expertise with other customers in pointing them quickly to the items they were searching for. Much appreciated!

Fabulous staff at the Fairfax Staples. Professional, courteous, and proactive. I would have given the full five stars, had it not been for the Staples website. My problem was that, when I wanted my office chair assembled, the only option offered on the website was a $60 charge (to be done by a third party.) It was only later that I discovered from the store that they could assemble my chair for ONE-FOURTH that price. They were kind enough to do this and the contractor gave me a full refund.
My question: WHY doesn't the Staples website offer this option of an inexpensive in-store assembly -- instead ONLY the contractor's ripoff cost??!!
But it all had a happy ending, as I was also able to exchange the chair for a better model and save money. So, PLEASE, Staples, offer that in-store assembly on the website, instead of allowing customers to be fleeced by a third party.

My daughter got hurt and needed a wrist/thumb splint. After going to multiple stores she searched online and found that Staples sells them. She called to ask if the store had them in stock and was demeaned, belittled and asked if she was pranking the store by the MANAGER of all people. She essentially told my daughter that she was stupid for thinking they would carry that as they are a supply store. When my daughter tried to explain that she found it online, then the manager went back and said she would just have to get it online then. I then called to talk about it with the store manager and get her name for a formal complaint and the store manager essentially called my daughter a liar. Which is crazy because my daughter literally had nothing to gain by making up a story like that. She was hurt physically and then treated so horribly just because she was young. I can't imagine ever spending another penny at an establishment that goes out of their way to be condescending and rude to a child in pain who only called to ask a simple question about in-store availability.

One broccoli shaped younger employee was very rude, dismissive, and condescending when I needed assistance printing today. Then proceeded to help four other customers while telling me to wait, asking me to step out of the line. Unreal service. The Staples in Warrenton had much better service and assisted me without issue.

Hello, dear comment readers!
I do not recommend getting your photo taken at this place, especially if you need both printed and digital versions.
I needed a passport photo, and in addition to a printed copy, I also required a digital file. I came in, had my photo taken, and was told that in order to receive the digital version, I needed to buy a USB flash drive. I explained that I had recently purchased a microSD card from them for my camera and asked if they could save the photo there. They refused, saying they only save photos to USB flash drives, not microSD cards.
I had no other choice, so I ended up buying the cheapest flash drive they had for $21, on top of the $25 photo fee. I was in a hurry, grabbed the flash drive with the digital file, and forgot to take the printed photo with me. A few days later, I had to go back to get the print, but the same employee told me he couldn’t take photos or access the files because the computer was “not working.”
Even though I live nearby, this caused a lot of unnecessary inconvenience. To make things worse, I saw two other customers who also had trouble getting their digital photos copied to a flash drive. Finally, a female employee stepped in, checked the computer, and confirmed the photos were saved, then handed me the flash drive.
The point is, I was basically forced to buy an unnecessary item, and the overall customer service was very poor.
That’s why I do not recommend this place. Incompetent and unfriendly staff should be replaced with people who actually know what they’re doing and treat customers with respect.
