  Since I live on base this is the closest post office for me. I been living in Dahlgren for 6 months at this point(as of 2/2/26) and I have encountered the nice sweet old lady many times, even when I had to take my son with me she has been extremely kind and patient with a new mom like me. This one other worker there she has been there has well but has been a thorn in my side or it seems like I am bugging her. She wares glasses and is a older lady as well on Feb second 2026 around 9:30am I go in to send out a package, I forgot my password for thr USPS site but I reset it, I am with my son I am stressed out. She is being so rude to me and when I stepped aside to let another customer through, she was super polite to this old white lady. I bit my tounge and paid for the package. Yes its over sized but I had to deal with her rudeness. If someone who works on a military post office and is rude, disrespectful and racist shouldn't work there at all. Chilis is a better place for her. Never going back again, I will make the drive over the nice bridge to a post office attached to a liquor store.

  The person at the counter made this visit great. She was super nice and helpful. We went to get our passports right around the lunch rush so we came knowing to have some patience. She was able to bounce back and forth between us and those coming in. All the while a smile and great attitude.

  I mailed a letter from there that was closed due to the sticky part on the back. I just got it returned to me saying tape was not allowed. “Tape”. I did not put tape on the back to close it considering envolopes have sticky flaps. I don’t appreciate the post office worker that tampered with my letter. Waste of my custom stamps that I have to pay for, waste of my envolopes and paper. It was covered in their stamps and writing stating what “I” did to have it returned back to me. I do not recommend a place that’s so unintelligent and inconsiderate to mess with my mail that they did not write or pay for. No matter how small the difference is, you don’t tamper with someone else’s belongings that they send in the mail. Very disappointed, an F- doesn’t do justice to this.

  You know that feeling when you are dealing with a bureaucrat, and he uses his power to thwart your wishes? Well, that's not how you are treated at the Dahlgren post office. They speak, they smile, they look you in the eye, and most importantly, they help. They are wonderful - each and every one!
