They lose packages and mail more than I've ever experienced. Don't send valuable things through this Post Office!

You can take your package here and get full UPS services as well as USPS. Professional, pleasant facility with knowledgeable and helpful, patient staff. My mail carrier is a cheerful, young guy who hefts lots of big mail-order up onto my porch; bookcases and loveseats, we're talkin'. Convinces me that the post office gets a bad rap because of all the people claiming the check is in the mail. FedEx, UPS, DHL, they all think so too, because they drop it at the post office to deliver the last 50 miles. Which is why talk of private carriers taking over the post office is a ripoff, since they obviously don't want to deliver everywhere themselves. Post office manages to do it without any funding from the govt because they're even better at it. Big business cherry-picking its routes [like they do with airports] would mean small towns end up driving 45 minutes each way to pick up their mail from a central—more profitable—distribution point. Go USPS.
