I love this USPS store in Charlottesville! I have only ever had the most positive experiences here, and I have been many, many times. The two men who regularly work up front are awesome and super knowledgeable (thanks, Gary!). Inside is super clean and they have everything I need to send my packages. Thank you!

Please create a system for people to print their labels. If a customer wasn’t given a QR code, USPS’s only solution is to tell customers to drive to FedEx down the street, pay (in my case) almost $4 just to print one label, and then have to drive all the way back for the actual package dropoff. On top of that, the self serve kiosk wouldn’t let me scan in my prepaid label for no apparent reason, warranting another wait in line. Both people working that day were curt, although I can’t really blame them. If being a customer here is this frustrating, I can only imagine what they have to deal with as employees.

As someone training to become a physician, accountability is a standard I live by—if I ever signed off on something I didn’t actually do, I’d face suspension, loss of licensure, or worse. Unfortunately, that same level of responsibility seems completely absent at this post office. It’s become the norm in Charlottesville for USPS to mark packages as “delivered” even when they haven’t been. My USPS portal will confidently claim something is on my doorstep, yet it doesn’t arrive until the next day—or sometimes days later. That’s not just frustrating; it’s deceptive. I depend on that tracking system to be accurate. If your internal system says it’s “out for delivery,” then I should be able to trust that. Don’t mark it as delivered if it’s still in the back of the truck or sitting in your hub. I’d rather see a delay notification than be misled into thinking something has been stolen or lost. The delays at the Seminole and Barracks location are frequent, and your hub seems consistently overwhelmed. I get that the USPS is facing budget cuts and systemic issues, but that doesn’t give this branch a pass on basic reliability. I urge you to consider consolidating operations with the other Charlottesville branch if it means improving efficiency and transparency. And let me be clear—some of the items I receive are not optional. Medication like Mounjaro, which requires cold storage and costs thousands of dollars, cannot be mishandled or delayed. This isn’t just a matter of convenience—it’s about safety, cost, and trust. There’s room for improvement here, and I sincerely hope this office takes it seriously.

Would give zero stars if I could. I went to ask for help locating a package and an older gentleman with a mustache treated me horribly like I was inconveniencing him and wasting his time when all I was trying to do was locate the package that THEY lost. Thanks for nothing

This is a small post office location as part of the Barracks Road Shopping Center. It is ok - it doesn't feel particularly well-developed or with a lot of services or capacity but it still is a post office closer perhaps for some than the other post offices in the Charlottesville-area.
