Burke Post office…. I went there to pick up my mail since my mailbox is covered by 4 feet of ice and not available. I walked in …they are helping someone and another person is waiting. The lady behind the counter yells WE ARE CLOSED! COME BACK WHEN WE ARE OPENED TILL 2…. Well… I work till 5:00 and can’t come prior to work.. inconvenient and bad customer service…. BTW…. I walked in 2 min till closed and if they are actually closed… they should have locked their doors… looks like I won’t ever get my mail…. And I can see why their reviews are so low…

Our postal carrier, Mohammed, is absolutely the best! He makes every effort possible to deliver mail, even in the toughest times. Also, he’s personable and knows the older neighbors. He’s great! Happy Postal Day on February 4th!

Genuinely the worst experience ever. The guy working was incredibly rude and had such a thick indian accent I couldn’t understand what he was saying. They lose my package and give me no tracking number so i just lost 500 dollars nice.

No matter what the website says about walk-in services, DO NOT GO WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. The employees were friendly, helpful, and downright accommodating. But the website is not controlled by this location so everything is going to be out of date.

Visiting the Burke Post Office during a holiday week is less of an errand and more of a character-building exercise. Despite a line already winding through the lobby, and spilling out the door, the office opened a casual ten minutes late, because apparently time is a suggestion. No explanation, no apology—just the quiet confidence of people who know you have nowhere else to go. Once inside, the line moved at the speed of continental drift. The help was slow, difficult to understand with the mumbling, and delivered with the kind of warmth usually reserved for jury duty. Every interaction felt like an inconvenience to the person being paid to help you. In a bold and innovative move, the post office was also completely out of mailing supplies. Boxes? Envelopes? Tape? A wild choice for a place whose entire purpose is mailing things—especially during a holiday rush. Truly visionary. Then comes the pièce de résistance: the customer feedback screen. While standing directly in front of the clerk, you’re asked to rate your experience via a series of smiley faces. Naturally, everyone presses the green one, not because it’s accurate, but because you’d like your package to actually leave the building and not be sacrificed to the USPS void out of spite. The overall vibe is rude, unapologetic, and oddly menacing, wrapped in fluorescent lighting and government-issued linoleum. If you enjoy long waits, zero supplies, and the thrill of wondering whether honesty will doom your mail forever, this is the post office for you. Five stars for the unintended comedy. One star for literally everything else.
