Customer service here moves like a loading screen on bad Wi-Fi—slow, painful, and somehow testing your patience on purpose. I watched the clerk help one customer, casually walk outside and across the street for a break like the rest of us weren’t standing there aging in real time, then stroll back in to help the next person… only to repeat the cycle. It felt less like waiting in line and more like watching a TV series release one episode at a time. And with that pace comes the attitude. Not friendly, not helpful—just the kind of facial expression that makes you feel like you’re the inconvenience for needing service. Like I interrupted their personal mission by existing with a package. Every question felt met with the energy of, “Why don’t you already know this?” The only reason this gets two stars? My package actually got mailed, and the place was clean. That’s it. The building did its job better than the customer service. Final verdict: two stars. Efficient at moving mail, impressively inefficient at moving people.

Seething. In appreciation of a different nearby USPS store and conversely, utter disdain at the location in this review. When you Google USPS registered mail, what value comes up, that the company advertises itself? $50k insurance. At first the operator tells me the cap is 25k, then says NO it's actually 2500, then NO it's actually 5k. The 5k came from restarting the process and user erroring the interface to the standard mail options, which are capped at 5k. I should have known things would go poorly after the operator beckoned me to the counter like a sheep and told the previous customer "hit no" on what should have been the brief on hazmat/lithium batteries/etc. I could see it was going nowhere, so I cancelled and went to another nearby USPS that did it properly.

She sent me away to print a form that I didn’t need to print because she didn’t feel like processing a package that was going to a military installation.

I honestly don’t understand how this branch managed to hire the laziest and least punctual staff imaginable. Their “lunch break” lasts anywhere from 90 minutes to three hours. There are times when the door is open and no one is inside. The odds of getting help by walking in during their posted hours are lower than spotting a kangaroo on the National Mall.

Post Office door is locked and no one is working at 10:30am on a Wednesday. What the...?!?! USPS needs to figure out what is going on with this location. At a minimum, please update the open hours so that people don't waste time coming here when the staff decides not to work.
