I do want to acknowledge that the local post office staff were professional and proactive in trying to help locate the packages. They checked into the issue and communicated with me, which I appreciated. However, there were inconsistencies in the delivery explanation. I was initially told the packages may have been placed in a mailbox or that the packages may have been placed in the wrong mailbox, but the items I ordered were too large to fit in a standard mailbox. Additionally, the packages were reportedly delivered to a shared mailroom, but there is no clear verification of where they were actually placed. This creates a situation where packages can be misplaced or taken, leaving the customer responsible for locating items that were marked as delivered. I also filed claims and appeals for the missing items, which were denied, resulting in a financial loss. While I appreciate the effort made by staff, there appears to be a gap in delivery verification and accountability in shared mailroom environments. I hope improvements can be made to ensure clearer confirmation of delivery location and better handling of packages in apartment settings.
