I'm sure the people working here are doing their best but they are perpetually understaffed. I would never even bother coming if it weren't the most convenient post office to my house. They just never have enough people to serve customers in a remotely timely manner. Dropping off a prepaid package is a 30 second transaction that shouldn't be proceeded by 20 minutes of waiting in line at 2:00 on a weekday afternoon (let alone at any of the busier times of day like the lunch or after work rush). Half the time I wind up going a full 10 minutes out of my way to the Annandale branch off Little River turnpike just to save time. Anyway, I'm sure some of this is a symptom of federal budget cuts but whoever reads these and has some input might be able to throw us a bone.

OMG! Is this Real life? A man sleeping on top of the counter by the mailboxes. 8/14/25 around 2:30 pm..I shared it with the older woman (think from India per her accent) who works there she got mad at me because I told I didn’t feel safe doing business in the area the man is sleeping! She never said nothing to him instead he switched positions and continue sleeping..What is really going on in this world when it’s acceptable for people to sleep on the countertops at the post office and the workers get mad at someone (law abiding citizens) who feels unsafe in that area. It appears he does this everyday she was careless and nonchalant everyone was complaining and didn’t feel safe! He did NOT look homeless he was a well groomed black man around 30-50 years old..just Wow!
