  3$ dollar setup fee to print...huh what is this? Highway Robbery?? But the employees were very nice. Will find another store

  I went to this UPS Store on Duke Street today (Feb 5) right before 5pm to return a package with a pre-printed label. The label looked legible, but the associate tried scanning it a couple of times and said she couldn’t accept it because it wouldn’t scan. I explained the printer ink was a bit low but the label was still readable and asked if I could print it there. She said yes—for over $3 for one page. I told her that seemed a bit rip-off for a single page. Instead of being helpful, she responded in a sarcastic tone and said I could print it at home and come back. Her tone was dismissive for a simple return. At the time, I was the only customer in the store. Shortly after, another person walked in, and both associates walked away to help that one person. Meanwhile, I was standing there trying to locate the label in my email so I could print it. I found it and waited for assistance, but even though the male associate saw me waiting, he looked away and did not offer help. There were no other customers waiting. I had a class nearby starting at 5pm and couldn’t continue standing there while being ignored. I picked up my package and left. A little courtesy and willingness to help would go a long way. Instead, I felt dismissed and avoided. I will be using a different UPS location from now on.

  The costumer service was wonderful! One of the UPS workers helped me pick up my box, packed the box and made sure everything ran smoothly. Excellent job to all the staff at the UPS Duke Street in Alexandria, VA with there exceptional customer support service and kindness!

  They charged me SEVENTEEN DOLLARS for a box. Yes, that "includes service and materials," but my item was already in a box and didn't need additional packing. I paid a guy $10 to put my box in a box and tape it shut.
