Very disappointing experience. I arrived at 6:15 PM and the store closes at 6:30 PM, but they refused to take my package because they were “almost closed.” The employee told me they were only accepting Amazon returns and couldn’t print labels because they were about to close.
If that is your policy, put it clearly on your website so people do not waste their time. If you say you close at 6:30 PM, then 15 minutes should make a difference. This is not the first time the staff here has acted lazy and unhelpful. I’m officially done with UPS.
This review is intended for the store owner.
I recently had an interaction at this location that escalated in a way that should not happen in a customer-facing business. I stopped in to pick up an empty shipping box and a minor misunderstanding while I was waiting in line quickly became confrontational.
I remained calm and respectful throughout the interaction and did not raise my voice. However, the situation continued to escalate, and when I reached the counter and asked for a box, I was told I was being rude and was ultimately refused service and asked to leave.
What concerned me most was not just the escalation, but the lack of professionalism. When I asked for a manager’s name so I could follow up appropriately, I was told they did not have to provide that information.
I understand that misunderstandings can happen, especially in busy stores, but refusing service and dismissing a customer who is trying to remain respectful reflects poorly on leadership and training. If a supervisor was involved, this is especially concerning.
I have already raised this through corporate channels and was informed the matter was handled internally, however no direct acknowledgment was ever provided by the store. I believe ownership would want visibility into how situations like this are handled at the customer level.

I had a very frustrating experience at this UPS Store. I had a package sent there for hold-for-pickup from another UPS location, and when I went to pick it up, one of the employees (a woman with short hair) made the process unnecessarily difficult.
Even though my package was already there and ready, she refused to release it unless I signed a shipment release authorization form, which didn’t make sense given the situation. On top of that, she would not accept my passport as valid ID simply because it didn’t show my address, and she kept insisting on a state ID.
Her attitude was very unprofessional and dismissive the entire time. Instead of trying to help or explain things clearly, she came across as rude and unwilling to assist. Overall, the customer service was poor, and the experience left me very disappointed.

EDIT TO SAY- not only is the customer service a zero and liars. So is management 😂 “the cameras show otherwise” clearly your cameras lie as well. Your 3 star rating and other bad reviews speak volumes and tell a different story. Don’t play a customer out to be a bad guy when your horrible employees instigated every bit of what played out. As a business owner I would be mortified to have employees like yours. If you have a thing for being verbally abused, pick the Taylorsville ups store.
Zero stars to Kathy, who verbally assaulted me upon walking in, asked how she was going to attach the label to a return and then got upset when I told her I didn’t appreciate being spoken to the way that she was speaking to me, walked away and refused to serve me, and then refused to tell me who the manager was or who I could work with or speak to to resolve the issue. I then called the store to ask what her name was so I could report to management she told me she didn’t have to tell me that and hung up the phone. I went to the Fort Union UPS to complete the return that I tried to complete at this store. They were extremely helpful, actually scanned the return label instead of berating me for not having a box and saw that they were to provide a package for the return… so thanks Kathy for nothing and thanks for being the rudest person that I’ve ever had to deal with. Glad to know I don’t have to ever come to this UPS location again and there’s other helpful spots that I can go and give my business to. Hope they have cameras at the taylorsville location to pull footage of how poorly she treats customers.

The way customers are treated at this location is beyond unacceptable—it’s some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. The staff come across as careless, dismissive, and completely uninterested in doing their jobs properly and flat out refused to help me. It reflects extremely poorly on management, who clearly are not holding anyone accountable or providing even basic customer service training. This kind of experience drives customers away, and it certainly has for me. I will not be returning to this location, and it has seriously damaged my trust in UPS as a whole and i wont be using UPS ever again in the future. Fed-Ex is now my go to.
