- JGJessica GlasscockFeb 24, 20265.0I send a lot of mail, about 1,200 letters and postcards alone last year, and I visit a lot of Post Offices in my travels. The Post Office in Old Town Park City will always remain one of my favorite. The building itself has a beautiful exterior, and all of the clerks, especially Jessie, were so kind and helpful. Sometimes you get pushback at Post Offices when requesting a hand cancellation, but they were happy to do it. Not just that, they have stickers, “I visited the Post Office today,” which makes it worth a trip inside.

The lady with purple hair was very passive aggressive, probably stressed out, which is okay. I get how stress can make you feel. But I just felt as though she didn’t need to take it out on customers. I dropped off a few packages 20 minutes before closing, (my mistake, I would have came earlier if I had the time. If you live near park city in the winter, you know around 4:00 traffic is the worst), but she made me feel like I was the absolute worst inconvenience for being there. I didn’t know you could send out packages in bulk vs them having to scan packages individually, and made me feel very stupid for not knowing that. It was my mistake, and I will admit that. However, after all of this, she threw my packages in the sorting bin very carelessly, dropping quite a few on the ground as if she didn’t care. I had disposable cameras from my wedding in these packages, so dropping them and tossing them around like it’s trash just felt very disrespectful to me. She just made me feel like a major inconvenience… I would recommend bringing your mail elsewhere if you don’t want a negative person helping you out. We all have bad days and are more than likely stressed out, I just hope she can heal and not let it affect customers…
