- IBItha ButterfieldJun 19, 20251.0I ordered a hemp product from a legitimate website for my husband… My package didn’t come and it said it had arrived at the Brigham city post office. When I went to check on my package, the lady there informed me that the postal inspector had taken the package and accused me of mailing something illegal. Saying to me in front of everyone “that is what happens when your mail contains something illegal.” My product definitely was not illegal and they have now released the hold. But the lady was so rude to me and so condescending in the way that she talked to me. She was a pretty middle-aged woman and next time I go in there, I will get her name so I can add it to this review. She also talked to me with a disgusted look, and like she was talking down to me. She spoke loud enough for everyone to hear And not in a pleasant tone. I usually love everyone in Brigham city But I hope this post office does better. That was really humiliating for me. She offered me no solution and I had to find the phone number To contact the postal inspector myself. I just feel like people like that Should not work in customer service.. Especially if tax dollars pay your wages!

So, normally in the past, I've mailed out bubble mailers with Forever stamps on them without issue. But this last week when I did, they sent everything back and claimed "they need to be sent as packages with tracking numbers" and these bubble mailers are not that big! They barely have a few 5 × 7 photo prints each which don't weigh much and aren't that big. Why is it in the past I mailed things from home in the drop off mail slot of bubble mailers without issue in the past but now they suddenly put up a stink about it? I'd love to know! They even sent back a card I was mailing to my dad for Father's Day marking that it need $0.17 more! Which is stupid! I sent something similar to my mom for Mother's Day! With only one Forever Stamp. Same exact size envelope and it wasn't an issue at all. I feel this post office is just money hungry and greedy and looking for any excuse to charge more to people in our town. Absolutely ridiculous.

Unwilling to listen and work through an issue the customer service representative went straight to threats instead of helping to solve the issue. I wish the USPS had to earn our business and other carriers start competing with them for any type of mail service.
