I came in and one of the employees was very passive aggressive towards me and another customer. I’m not sure what his name was, but he had an arm brace on.
I didn’t have a bag for my package because I didn’t realize I was supposed to. He said, “Well, would you want this shipped to you in this condition?” I said, “I guess not.” He then said, “What do you suppose we do with it?” I asked, “Do you have bags?” Obviously, I know they have bags. It seemed very condescending. He said yes and that it would be like $2.
He said “press line” When I was trying to find the “line” button on the screen to pay for the bag. I was looking for the word “line,” and he said, “Right there,” and pressed a button with a line on it for me quickly. He then said, “I’m not sure why none of our customers can figure that out.” I was taken aback and said, “Yeah, I suppose we are all pretty stupid,” and he agreed.
Later, I came in with more items in a big box. I could hardly open the door while carrying everything. I did my best to open it and was visibly struggling. I did not expect help, but I was very surprised when the employees looked through the glass and stared while I struggled. I ended up dropping everything because it was too heavy and the box got stuck in the door. He later came over and picked some of the items up. Just also seemed very intentional.
Another customer came in and couldn’t figure out the self-service return, and he made a comment about how the last customer didn’t come in with a bag either (me) while I was standing right there.
I’ve never been to this location before, never met this guy. Someday I will have to go back because there is not always the option to go to Kohl’s.
