- JBJesse BesterAug 24, 20262.0I’ve lived in Hudson, WI for 9 years. Have always had good postal delivery workers. However, the same can’t be said for the tellers/workers at the post office. The ladies that work behind the desk have absolutely zero “0” personality and operate more like programmed machines than human beings. I’ve never seen them smile. I’ve never heard them stray from their standard pitch (anything liquid, fragile, breakable or potentially hazardous…any insurance…any stamps….etc). I always feel like I’m inconveniencing them by being there. Also, it seems like there is always a problem with how I package an item (incorrect label, wrong tape, etc). It’s really too bad. I remember a time when you used to like going to the post office. They often remembered your name. They helped tape up some of the boxes if there were concerns. They used to have suckers for the kids. All of this stuff is lacking at the Hudson Post Office. The building is always nice, clean, and organized. However, they truly need a turnover of front counter staff before I start going back there regularly to mail items. I’ve found that UPS in Hudson appreciates my business more. Friendly staff. Good prices. More personable interactions. I can’t think that I’m the only one who encounters this. I’ll still use this post office to get stamps and such because what other choice do I really have. However, I try to avoid this store if I can….sadly, only because of the cold front desk workers. While a lot of other companies are getting better with their customer service, it seems like this post office is regressing.
