It’s a reliable, functioning post office today, but it also sits in a place with a really unique local history. Delavan was once known as the “Circus Capital of America” in the 1800s, when traveling circuses wintered in the area and helped shape the town’s identity. While this specific building itself wasn’t part of that circus era, it still feels connected to that broader history just by being in the community. Overall, it’s a solid post office with a nice sense of local heritage around it.

They refuse to deliver mail stating our mailbox is too small. We bought a postmaster approved mailbox. No where at this time does it state on their website it needed to be such a certain size mailbox. Also I don’t remember the supervisors name but she was god awful to work with and I had no idea how she got her position.
