Absolute scam artists. Picked up a pet that was not mine and was told 62.72. I paid it. Got home and they charged me 201.59. They said there was a balance for a previous pet so they used the card in file. My card was not in file I picked up a dog for someone and they left a voicemail saying they are recharging the card. Without consent or permission. That is called FRAUD! The reckoning is now upon you! Im activated. No wonder there are so many lawsuits against this crooked fraudulent company.

I have been with them for 13 years and no more. Last Tuesday my dog became seriously ill I called Banfield in Murrieta CA to get my dog in and I was told they were booked that day and the follow day I said this is a critical situation they referred me to VCA Emergency Pet Hospital where I spent 7.5 hours with a very sick dog. Over 1000 dollars later I was told my dog had chest cancer which was a shock. The Dr at Banfield never found this when she was there for her check up in March 2026. We were sent home with a list of home care vets to come out if we needed. Well after calling the list most places were booked or closed. I called Banfield Murrieta CA asked if they had a list of places so my girl didn't have to suffer I explained to them she isn't going to make it through the night I was placed on hold for over 20min and finally hung up. We had to say goodbye to our girl Wednesday June 24, 2026 after we did our own searching to have her peacefully put to rest.
I also cannot cancel my Zeplynns wellness place even though has has passed I'm locked in till Feb 2027 which I feel is so wrong all this company wants is money. I will not be returning back to this joke of a company. Shame on you Banfield.
Our pets are family you people have no care or compassion this place should be shut down.

This people don't answer the phone and when they do you're on hold for more then 16-29 minutes. The meds are sent to be filled to different establishments without letting you know. The drugest will call Banfield with no luck. The Dr. at benfield stress how important it for the pet to take meds, but between the Dr. and lack of help or lazy staff no mess are provided at the end. I've taken my pet there three times and have chased the mess with no end result. Banfield makes it hard to cancel them. I'm very unhappy with their service. Last time my pet was there they cleaned his teeth when I asked them not to do it that I would make a later appointment for him because that in that visit he was going to get shots. They are all scattered and don't like how they don't even have a call back to you after being on the phone a long time waiting to be helped.

First off, my comments are based on my experience with Banfield. Two pet's, over 2 year's enrolledin ActiveCareplus. . As a consumer who paid in good faith for "professional veterinary services" promoted by Banfield offering savings. If you care for your pet please be advised and do your research.. .there are several platforms available to research a company. The care provided to my pet's was shoddy. My cat had a cardiac event under anesthesia on Sep 2025 to add insult to injury the vet marked the cleaning as "teeth polished and scaled, complete " impossible when the cleaning was interrupted by an emergency event. My dog also underwent a cleaning on the same day. Its blood pressure heart rate plummeted during its dental cleaning. Dr. Ruby Murillo ignored the pre-anesthetic blood panels warning values. On a Dec 2025 visit where servises were done without my consent Dr. Kate Brown and technicians in order to make it appear as if i had consented and was fully engaged in their unauthorized services carried forward data from previous visits notes that appear as if i presented my and wanted to discuss an issue from an October visit. Ear Infection notations from November 2025 where the actual diagnosis was incorrect however it was carried over making it appear as a resolving issue citing i refused cytology. Bloodwork from September 2025 carrying abnormal values were presented as normal in Banfield’s Comprehensive Exam. The timestamps themselves are of issue. And Dr. Brown reached into my pets medication history making an unusua rxl entry for which there is no justifiable explanation. All this and more to try and prove I authorized services they were desperately wanting to bill for. The comprehensive exam comes across as mediocre and FALSE. Sadly these are just some of tge issues. The attitude has been frivolous with a corporation showing it's true colors reflective of it's employees actions. The Client Experience Dept has stated that it has reviewed my pet's records and stands by thier accuracy. This in itself is offensive. Defending the actions of thier licensed practicing DVM. However my review of the findings seriously contradict this supposed accuracy. I willingly handed my pet's over because I relied on professional treatment. That Banfield would fulfill its oath to the veterinarian oath. But this was not the case. The records speak for themselves and each licensee is not undergoing regulatory investigation. There are consumer issues as well and I am preparing my case to address these. Insurance carriers are denying claims based on inaccurate, ambiguous records that are actively disputed and as of this past week those "pre existing conditions anchored in Banfield’s records are now submitted to the California Insurance Commission. Dealing with Banfield has not been a helpful experience. I hope consumers will think twice about trusting your beloved pet's over to a corporation that only cares about the bottom line. Ive learned through this experience. In my advocacy and love for pet's am ensuring I ring the bell.

This review is solely based on the Banfield organization and not a direct reflection of any individual location (though most locations operate subpar as well). Let me start by saying I have had an account with Banfield for the better part of the 13 years, solely out of necessity of convenience of location and not based at all on satisfaction. Unfortunately I had to put my dog down after 15 years together and the Dr conducting our home euthanasia reached out to my dog’s vets office (Banfield) to let them know of his passing. Some days later I logged into my account via the app and saw my pet had been marked as an archive, confirming they had received notification. 3 weeks later, before my pets remains had even been delivered back home to me, I received a charge from Banfield. Surely I assumed this was some mistake as how can an organization knowingly charge me for an account after a pet had passed so I contacted them. I spoke with a representative named Chris who was your typical customer service representative who “understood my frustration” and was “so sorry for the confusion” but continued to pursue the $62 charge. Offered me $20 off the total and told me he wouldn’t automatically renew my account as a courtesy. WHY WOULD AUTOMATIC RENEWAL BE A THING FOR A DEAD ANIMAL!!! I requested to speak to a supervisor and continued to sternly say I wouldn’t be paying the charge as the pet has passed away. A supervisor called me back 24 hours later. Daniel (ID number: Dp39457065) also continued to demand the money as this was a monthly payment due AND the amount to cancel an account prematurely. I am so disgusted with this organization. I cannot in good faith allow anyone to utilize their services without sharing my experience. This company lacks all empathy that SHOULD be present when operating a company like this. This organization’s only priority is money. The customer and their pet don’t matter. I will never step foot into another Banfield Location. Every single employee that works for the company should rethink their values.
