I was standing in line, I didn’t realize I was standing in the wrong spot. Instead of correcting me; one of the women in customer service said loud enough to where I heard it “SHE FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT” and the customer she was dealing with asked who she was talking about, she said “her” (which was me because I was the ONLY woman in the lobby). That is how terrible the customer service is here. The fact that she said “Finally” meant she knew I was standing in the wrong spot and chose not to say anything, but the felt the need to broadcast it for no reason. (Also the sign was turned in a way where it was unclear where the line started). I don’t like people that make rude comments as if I’m not there; it’s super unprofessional. When this woman became available I let other people go ahead; I passed on her until her co-worker became free. I understand why the rating for this office is so low.

Very disappointing experience. This is a government service that many people rely on. I arrived at approximately 6:42 PM, while the posted closing time was 7:00 PM. The employee told me and other 7-10 people she had to take her break and closed the doors before the posted closing time, refusing to serve customers. If the office is advertised as being open until 7:00 PM, why are customers being turned away nearly 20 minutes early? How is this acceptable, and how does it comply with USPS policies? If employees need breaks during business hours, there should be coverage so customers are not denied service while the office is officially open. I would appreciate an explanation and for this issue to be addressed.

This location is actually open the other 2 in Tacoma were closed. Tge MLK location has been closed for about a year and the G street is now closed for some reason. Went to the main off of 38th and Union and there were people waiting for mire than 45 minutes and NO ONE was there to help even though it said ring the bell for help. It's no wonder the post office is losing money. They wouldn't need to raise rates if they focused on mail delivery and not trying to sell all that junk in the lobby that nobody will ever buy.
