  I went in there for an Amazon return and I said hello to the man with a smile. He seemed like he hated working there and didn’t say a word to me until the end he said I can’t take this. It was an empty box but just the way he said it was so rude. He was bad mouthing a customer the lady next to us was helping out. Very awkward and uncomfortable experience. That man has helped me before when I make purchases in the store he always seems so upset. I’m not trying to get anyone fired that’s not the point of this review. I just feel like if you are customer service you should be kind and helpful. I’m never going back just horrible experience.

  we went in last week to return a rug from amazon, and the employee (i believe their name was amanda or something like that) who helped us was very rude and unfriendly. when we approached the counter a gentleman popped in to quickly ask if he should leave an item up at the front (as he had to use the bathroom) or if he could keep it with him. the employee flatly replied, “i don’t care. you can keep it.” which was already a bit off putting, but then when it was our turn to he assisted we placed the box containing the rug on the counter. we brought it in the amazon box as it was easier to carry, but knew they don’t take the box and intended on taking it once the rug was processed. the employee wasn’t at all pleasant or friendly and when our return was processed, my partner reached over to grab the box so we could dispose of it and was interrupted by said employee to be told in a very annoyed tone that they can’t keep the box, to which my partner replied “yeah, i’m grabbing the box.” we then come to find out days later that this employee didn’t properly process our return and it was lost and we haven’t received our refund because of it. this experience makes me hesitate to ever return to this staples because this kind of attitude in a customer service role is just frustratingly unsavory. we didn’t say anything combative nor rude, we very simply brought an item to return and were met with an unpleasant attitude.

  Easily found what I wanted. Employee Mark was very helpful. Will certainly continue to go to Staples for all home office needs.
