I live in town, so can't speak to more remote route delivery, but noticed that many frustrated reviews are quite old. My post man is friendly and waves when I see him on his route while out walking. I have always had helpful people in the office itself, including when I ask for the best /cheapest option to ship something (from their supply) and they even will help tape items etc. There is usually one or two people working counters, and I've seen a third when busy. A few folks clearly have more experience, but others will ask for help if the question is unusual. Often I am out within 5 minutes, but on occasion have waited longer due to the amount of customers. But considering everyone has different needs when they come in, I can't really fault the office if everyone else decides to mail packages at the same time as me. My mail holds have been correct, and items seem to arrive correctly at my address. Only on a couple occasions over 10 years has the mail box been filled to the point of being slightly harder to get items out of (I've had no damaged items, and I'm not even the best about getting my mail daily). While I get it can be frustrating if things come later than expected, my overall experience with all the carriers is that in such a global system, having extremely particular expectations can lead to frustration, especially if the rush is due to late planning /travel restricted parameters on my part. If you want things more predictable and faster, I recommend moving to the Seattle metro area, where things come faster via mail or locker, and you can get your exercise when you have to park five+ blocks away from the actual post office if you need to actually go in person.

This post office is horrible. There is one woman that works there that is very rude and always overcharges for sending a package. Also the delivery drivers are lazy. They have broken several things of mine buy trying to cram them In My mail box. They have also delivered my packages to the wrong house on several occasions. The last time was an $800 item and I confronted the driver about it and she said she delivered it 2 houses down. She refused to go get it and bring it to me. What a joke.

Packages constantly get dropped off at the wrong house or not at all. There have been several occasions where packages have been sent back due to someone there not doing their job properly. And when my wife and I go in and try to correct this, they act like nothing they did is wrong and they'd love nothing more for you to just leave and stop bothering them. I'm very disappointed in the mail service here in Selah.
