Truly the worst Post Office of all the North Seattle post offices. The manager in particular is a piece of work and makes it her mission to make sure customers suffer and never want to return. Replacing her would improve this place immensely, but several of the staff are also unfriendly and incredibly rude to the point I see a customer getting upset almost to the point of tears EVERY TIME I go here. There are maybe two people who are helpful, both asian women, and they deserve to be at a better branch. This post office loses mail and gives packages to the wrong people all the time, but check the ID of every person of color- I have never seen the manager or the male clerks ask a white customer to prove who they are. Go to Greenwood or Bitter Lake instead!

I feel better after a bad experience if I post a review. So here is my review. No problems with my mail here, but the service from a certain clerk can leave you feeling worse than when you walked in. Then they read the reviews or catch wind of them and the cycle continues. I hope he feels better soon, because I do.

Great location and most of the staff in my experience is very nice and efficient to work with! I have had one specific employee talk down to me twice but i’m hoping he just was having a bad week and this isn’t regular behavior. All of my other experiences have been better than i could ask for so that doesn’t deduct any stars for me :) I’ve been selling some clutter online lately and USPS makes it convenient to do so. I will be back and i’m very grateful for all the wonderful, hardworking people that are at this store.

When you see poor reviews and a low rating, it is worth paying attention to them. Those stars are there for a reason. This was the worst experience I’ve had with something as simple as mailing an envelope. I was sending documents in a small envelope, which I purchased at the location. I filled it, sealed it, and wrote the address. While waiting in line, I noticed the bottom seam was torn, which could have caused it to break during transit. I approached a staff member at an open window and politely asked if they had tape to fix it. She said they don’t provide tape and that I would need to buy it. I explained the envelope was already damaged when I took it and asked for an exchange, but she rudely told me to get back in line. I was already waiting, but the interaction felt unnecessarily dismissive. When I reached the counter, a male employee assisted me. As I explained the issue, the same woman (Rachel) gave me a very small piece of tape, seemingly just to end the situation. The male employee also gave me tape and told me to step aside. The tape was nearly finished, and it felt like I was being given scraps. After I fixed the envelope and returned, the transaction continued. I declined the $100 insurance. The male employee then made comments implying I was inconsistent about wanting to protect the contents, which I found inappropriate. He continued muttering and sighing as he walked away. As I was leaving, Rachel again made dismissive remarks. I told her this situation would not have escalated if my initial request had been handled properly. She told me I could speak to the manager. The manager was called, and I was informed she was busy on the phone. I said I was willing to wait. I waited and expected the situation to be resolved professionally. Eventually, the manager came out. She was polite, and I explained everything in detail. Her initial response was that I had interrupted Rachel while she was helping customers, which was not true—Rachel was not assisting anyone when I approached her. I asked the manager to review security footage. While explaining the situation, I became emotional because I no longer felt confident my mail would be handled properly, and I requested to cancel the shipment. The manager initially said cancellation was not possible because the process had started, but later reversed this after I said I would escalate the issue if needed, and agreed to return the package instead. Rachel continued to act dismissively throughout. I was asked to remove the contents and complete a cancellation form. I received a cash refund even though I paid by card. The manager was polite, but the overall customer service experience was unacceptable. I would not recommend this location based on how this situation was handled.
