Helpful tip: if you need to mail something that is packaged and labeled- UPS in Ridgefield can mail it out for you even if it’s marked as a USPS package. Also the employees at UPS are helpful and friendly

I wish I could give zero stars for the lack of customer service at the Ridgefield, WA, post office. My wonderful 16-year-old granddaughter went into this venue on July 21. 2026, and she was bullied so harshly by one of the older women behind the counter. I’ve had the same experience with these women. My solution is to drive into the Vancouver, WA, post office to transact my postal business, where I have the privilege of being assisted by professional USPS postal employees.

If I could give -5 stars, I would! I went in to inquire about sending a package. First, I had to ring the bell and wait about 5 minutes, which I can understand. However, when I asked about the cost of a Flat Rate box, the employee looked at me like I was inconveniencing her simply by asking a basic question. Since it’s a Flat Rate service, asking about the price based on the destination is completely standard. The employee was so unhelpful, dismissive, and incompetent that I wasn’t even able to mail my package. Instead of providing basic customer service, she made the entire experience unnecessarily difficult. I left without being able to send anything because of her incompetence. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially at a place where helping customers with shipping is the primary job.

If you are looking for unhelpful, this is indeed the perfect place. Reminds me of places I've traveled in the past. The older lady at the front simply tries to make things as difficult as possible, even if they are simple answers. This happened not just with me, but my overhearing others before and after me. Sadly unnecessary. I went up the road to the UPS store and was treated so much better, even though it was a USPS item I needed to ship.

A key for my parcel wasn’t in my mailbox so when I went to figure it out at USPS they got my information down and said they’d call me with any updates. I didn’t expect a call back but they called me the next day that they placed a key in my mailbox for me and I received my package! They were really sweet, I had a great experience!
