I understand I came in about 5 minutes before closing, and I completely understand if they stop accepting shipments at a certain time. That’s not really my issue.
When I walked in, the sign was still on and there was another couple being helped. The employee asked me what I needed, and I told him I had two sweaters to ship, one to Montana and one to Texas. He clearly seemed annoyed by it, but never told me they were no longer accepting shipments.
I then grabbed two of their shipping envelopes and spent a few minutes struggling to get the sweaters packed into them, all while he could see what I was doing. Once I finally had everything packed and walked up toward the counter, he told me the other couple was his last customer because they close at 7 and that I would have to come back tomorrow.
That’s what irritated me. He could have simply said when I first walked in, “Just so you know, we’re not taking any more customers tonight.” I would have completely understood and left. Instead, he asked what I was shipping and where watched me package everything, and waited until I was ready to check out to tell me he wasn’t going to help me.
As I was leaving, he then told me I needed to take the sweaters back out because the envelopes belonged to the store. When I pointed out that he could have told me from the beginning that he wasn’t going to help me before I packed everything, his response was that he was “busy.”
I understand businesses have closing times. I don’t expect anyone to stay late for me. But if you’ve already decided you’re not taking another customer, just communicate that when they walk in instead of letting them go through the entire process first. The whole interaction felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive.

First time here, and WILL DEFINITELY be back. I had the absolute best experience with Jakobi today, walked in with an assortment of 80 year old photos I needed scanned/blown up/printed and zero idea how to do it. Jakobi was very understanding and didnt make me feel like a simp for not knowing what I was doing. He handled my job start to finish with so much care, I had no idea I was in for such an experience! The whole process was effortless and I left spending a fraction of what I thought the job would cost! Thank you thank you thank you Jakobi!!!
