- SRStephen RinesFeb 23, 20161.0Warning to any shipper, do not ship via USPS to any address here. They don't have door to door delivery, and they are unwilling to help. I sent a large package to an address within walking distance of the post office. After shipping, I found out about the problem from the buyer. Right away I attempted to file an intercept form, but as the original address doesn't have delivery, it came up as invalid and would not let me complete it. No worries right? Call the post office and explain? Nope, she would not even consider my story, wanted an intercept form, and ignored my plea that it could not be done (she wasn't nice about it either). Okay, I'll try my post office. Happy to help, they tried to call this post office and explain that my point was valid. Nope, they were shut down as well. Last try, lets use the USPS hotline. Called and talked to a customer service rep, who was also bewildered that this post office would not help. USPS opened a case and attempted (twice) to contact this post office and tell them to hold the package for the buyer to pick up, or send it to his PO box. Nope! This post office ignored even their own company. So, the 42 pound package, shipped from Massachusetts to Washington ($85), got to within feet of the buyer, and was then sent back. Even though the sender, the recipient, the senders post office, and USPS corporate themselves all tried to stop it. They wasted my time, my money, and a ton of fuel as I'll be sending it back via UPS now.
